As a teacher it can be hard sometimes to find books that get students attention. This book not only get my students attention it also keeps it! Til the very end! You don't find many books that do that. I usually lose half the class by the middle of the story. Not with snorkel whalengton! Thanks to the author for putting out such a different and attention getting book! Can't wait to see what adventures snorkel gets into next and neither can my class!! Please write a second!!!

We met the author and purchased the book at a book fair and read a few stories last night, my 7 year old's favorite part was seeing illustrations that look like his own drawings, in a real book that people could buy! Thank you for inspiring my little one to want to illustrate his own book one day Ms. Wray! ❤📚

5.0 out of 5 stars and I loved this book

I have a copy of this book given to me by a dear friend.
I am a preschool teacher and I am in the school to get my masters in ECE, and I loved this book!! I will be using this book now and in my future classrooms. It is beautifully written and uniquely illustrated. The story is sweet and straightforward and easy to read. I like this second book too. I think that this would be the perfect book to give as a gift for a preschooler (teachers keep that in mind for the holidays). My younger cousin is 6, and even she loved it. After reading it, we talked about all of the things that the book discussed (love, kindness, acceptance, honesty etc). One remarkable thing I noticed in this book is how gender neutral it is and it is so diverse. You will NOT be disappointed with this book. Highly recommend

5.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful book that children and adults can relate to.

I really enjoyed reading this children’s book of short stories. I am an educator and would highly recommend this book to teachers, therapists, and parents. Children and adults can easily relate to the life lessons that are presented in this book. Topics include family life, meeting new people, school days, being respectful, as well as several others.

I especially liked the short story on being respectful to others with speech and language impairments. It is difficult to find children’s books that cover this topic. The author does a fantastic job showing children how to be kind to others with speech and language difficulties as well as people that come from different backgrounds.
